CrazyTed's Racing was founded in 2007 by Ted Marriner.  Ted started riding offroad in NJ when he was about nine years old.  Ted's first race was the hare scramble in 1998 at Budd's Creek MX.  Ted raced his brothers ATK 406 and it was a monster.  He ordered a 1998 KTM 250 EXC that had been raced by Mike Lafferty in the 1997 ISDE in Italy.  Ted raced KTM's until 2010 when he moved to Husaberg, a KTM company.

Ted worked as a Master Police Officer for the City of Virginia Beach, VA from 1994 until he was injured at work in 2005.  The city retired Ted in December of 2006.  Ted remained on worker's compensation and tried to get back to riding and racing.

Ted has worked on many different KTM's for years and was asked to work at Lewis MC Sports KTM in Portsmouth, VA as a mechanic.  Ted attended the KTM four-stroke school for several different engines.  Ted had to move on from that employement but in 2007, he started CrazyTed's Racing with the idea of serving riders' needs at the racetracks.

Ted met with Wade Summers from Tire Balls and was trained in the installation and use of Tire Balls in motorcycles and ATV's.  While working trackside, Ted noticed a lack of certain gear being available to the riders and decided to expand his business to meet that need.
On the front page, you'll see a modest list of the many different products and companies that CrazyTed's Racing deals with.  If you don't see what you need, give us a call and we'll see what we can do!

Ted was elected to the Virginia Championship Hare Scrambles Series board of directors and continues to work with his fellow members to ensure that the VCHSS continues to be a premier offroad series.
